Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Convert-A-Ball cushioned pintle hook combo with the three nickel plated balls. This is for two inch hitches, has a 16,000 pound weight capacity. Now, strength, versatility, and the Convert-A-Ball quality will come together in this cushioned combination pintle hitch ball mount that fits a two inch trailer hitch.The cushioned shank, right back here, is designed to protect you tow vehicle's drive line and hitch assembly, as well as you trailer's content. On the inside of this, they use a polyurethane inside that'll act as a shock absorber, reduce any bounce, or rhythmic vibrations. It is designed to slide easily into a two inch square trailer hitch receiver. And it attaches with the included 5/8 inch hitch pin.I happen to have an example of a two inch hitch receiver right here, so we're just going to slide it in there, and attach it, so I can demonstrate it.

Going to slide that in, we'll take our pin and clip, and we'll line our hole up. Once we get our hole, we'll put our pin through and we'll clip it into place. Now, this is equipped with a double engagement, rust resistant locking system to secure a lunette ring to it.It offers towing convenience and versatility. It'll convert quickly and easily from the pintle position like we have it in now, to a standard ball mount, no tools needed. It includes the three interchangeable nickel plated steel hitch balls, 1-7/8 inch diameter, two inch, and 2-5/16, the pintle sleeve, which is already installed, and we mentioned the hitch pin and clip that comes with it.Now, I do want to take it out of the pintle design and show you how the hitch balls will attach to it.

So, what you want to first do, is remove the pin and clip here. That'll release that. And then right over here, we just turn this, this way, move the balls, you have this little handle you need to pull out. And when you pull that out, then you need to lift up on the pintle, or the hook part of it. So if we pull out on that, let's push up from the bottom, there we go, we can get that out.Then you can see it'll just swing to the side.

And when it swings to the side 90 degrees, it'll automatically lock into the position. And then, if you're going to use it, here's the pintle sleeve that'll slide off. If you're going to use it for the ball coupler, you do want to put the pin and clip back in here to lock it in this position. So we'll just go ahead and slide this back through here. And that'll lock it, and keep it in that position.Now, you can put whatever ball size you need on there.

You got the three different sizes. Let's say we take the two inch. And this is the Convert-A-Ball design. So, what that does, is it has the pin already in there. You go to the edge that has the dimple on it, push on that, and then just pull that pin. And it'll stay in there, you just pull it far enough. And then you can see the hole in the shank right here. Drop the ball on you need. Line the pin up, and push it through there.Now, you can tow with the two inch ball. And then you can just interchange between whichever ball you need. This is manufactured, the shank portion, and the pintle part up here, as a black powder coated steel. This part is made in the USA. Specs on this again, it's designed to fit two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. The pintle hitch will work with lunette rings. Other words, if we take the ball, let's remove the ball portion, and if we put the sleeve on, and then use it in the pintle design, it'll work with lunette rings that'll have a three inch inner diameter, maximum outer diameter of 6-3/8 inches, and a maximum ring cross section of 1-5/8 inch.When it's used as a pintle, the towing capacity is 16,000 pounds, tongue weight capacity is 800 pounds. If you use is as a ball hitch, the ball shank diameter is one inch diameter. We mentioned the ball sizes, 1-7/8, two inch, 2-5/16. The towing capacity for the tow inch and the 2-5/16 inch balls is 1,000 pounds. Towing capacity on the 1-7/8 inch hitch ball is 3,50 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is 800 pounds.Now, again, if we're going to slip it back into the . Go ahead and release it. And the same way, going to have to push up on this, which'll unlock it. There we go, just pull up. We'll swing it over. Then once you get it that far, all you have to do is lift up on it, and that'll drop it in, once you put your lunette ring in there, drop this on top of it, and you're locked into place.
