I originally bought the Light Auburn 160 grams set for $140
& as stated I was going to exchange for a dark brown set but do to complications I was stuck with the light auburn so I just made due and dye them myself with my usual box dye.
(Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Red- Medium Intense Auburn R2 Dye.) I've only washed, dyed, and dried them once but I didn't have any crazy problems yet. Minimum shedding probably due to me being a bit rough during unknotting after washing. And I was a bit... noob-ish during washing.
