Chatfield Senior High School achieved a 99.1% graduation rate this past year, a milestone school leaders believe is connected to early, intentional support for students beginning in freshman year through their Freshman Success Program.
The transition from middle school to high school can feel overwhelming for many students. To help freshmen build confidence, stay engaged, and remain on track to graduate, Chatfield launched their Freshman Success Program five years ago.
At the center of the program are Freshman Success Seminars small, supportive classes that focus on connection, productive habits, and strong relationships with caring adults. Through daily check-ins and intentional support, students learn how to manage expectations, ask for help, and believe in themselves.
