🚴 Route Overview:
Starting at Kulgera Roadhouse in the Northern Territory, I follow the Finke Road to Lambert’s Centre, then continue to the tiny outback town of Finke (Aputula) for my first water resupply. From there, I ride the Ghan Heritage Trail, tracing the path of the old Ghan railway to Titjikala / Maryvale, where I resupply again.
The journey continues along remote tracks through Hugh River Stock Route, eventually rejoining the Stuart Highway, with a final water stop at the Finke 24hr Rest Area, before looping back to Kulgera.
🛠️ Carrying up to 16 litres of water between each section, this solo ride spans approx 600km of true outback riding — showcasing vast desert landscapes, wildlife encounters, and the raw beauty of Australia's Red Centre.
