Описание: Potassium is a very soft metal—you can cut it with a knife. It reacts violently when it touches water. Sodium is a bit harder but still easy to cut. When you mix potassium and sodium, they form a liquid alloy that stays liquid at room temperature. Because of its high surface tension, it forms round metal droplets. This alloy has some industrial uses, but it’s extremely dangerous. It can catch fire when exposed to air and reacts even more violently with water.
