Cutting a stitch and unravelling part of a row for the pocket insert. Tips: snip a middle stitch (just one leg of it), use a short needle (e.g. a wool needle) to unravel the stitches moving out from the middle to the edges. Leave your locking stitch markers in place.

Tips: use a smaller needle and match it up to the rest of the trim on the sweater, make the trim slightly wider than the pocket opening by casting on 1 extra stitch on either end of the pocket stitches and pattern stitch options for the pocket opening.

Remove stitch markers, weaving in ends. Tips: using locking stitch markers to hold pocket insert in place, whip stitching the liner.
