The corrosion and protective coatings industry is built on the expertise, grit, and daily commitment of Corrosion Technicians. They are the professionals who keep critical assets safe, reliable, and compliant. Since the pandemic, this essential workforce has in my opinion lacked a unified platform dedicated to their professional growth, recognition, and long‑term success. In 2025 that unified platform was formally established.
Tonight’s Coatings Talk dives into why I personally/professionally support the Corrosion Technician Association (CTA), and why I believe every technician, inspector, contractor, asset owner, professional and manufacturer in the corrosion industry should join and champion this association.
Why This Conversation Matters
Corrosion Technicians are the backbone of asset integrity. Their work protects pipelines, tanks, infrastructure, and communities. When technicians have a strong association behind them, the entire corrosion industry benefits, better training, better communication, better outcomes, and a more integrated workforce.
CTA is building that foundation. Its growth, influence, and long‑term impact depend on all of us.
