Today marks a historic turning point for Andhra Pradesh as Amaravati officially receives the Centre’s approval as the state capital, coinciding with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s unveiling of a massive blueprint to transform the city into the "Quantum Valley of the World." Moving beyond traditional IT parks, the state has launched the world’s largest quantum skilling programme targeting 200,000 professionals over the next five years, with a groundbreaking 51% women participation rate. The initiative brings together global partners like WISER, IIT Madras, and the National Quantum Mission to build a physical quantum ecosystem including hardware parks and research facilities.
In a significant policy shift, Naidu also updated his vision from "One IT Professional Per Family" to "One Entrepreneur Per Family," focusing on wealth creation and ownership rather than just employment. To underscore this ambition, the state has pledged a ₹100 crore prize for any Nobel Laureate emerging from this ecosystem, aiming to position Amaravati not just as a political capital, but as the brain of India’s deep-tech future.
