For the past several decades, Dick seems to be unable to get out of a pattern of drug and alcohol abuse, which has led to a string of troubling, inappropriate, and illegal behaviors. In this video, we’re taking a look at his most recent arrest in October of 2022, in which he attempted to steal power tools from a house under construction. We then take a look at his long career, both in terms of his career successes, and in terms of his many arrests for a variety of things.

We talk about the two events that seemingly set things off for Dick: the deaths of fellow comedians and actors Chris Farley and Phil Hartman. These two tragedies sent Dick spiraling back into drug abuse and alcohol abuse after having been briefly sober. And sadly, those vices have haunted him for years. We talk about the varied arrests he’s had in the past few decades, and how they’ve grown increasingly sexual in nature. Certainly not a good pattern. And het, Dick has generally managed to elude jail time over the years, which perhaps has led to further bad behavior.
