EP 2 Srinagar to Doodhpathri, Kashmiri food at Ahdoos, Srinagar

Описание: This series is about our travel in and around Srinagar. We traveled to popular destinations and less explored ones as well.

In the previous episode you saw the activities that we did during the day in Srinagar.

In this video we are sharing our journey from Srinagar to Doodhpathri which is at a distance of about 45 km. We enjoyed the scenic views of the valleys and much more.

This video was shot on 18th April 2023, below are the activities we did throughout the day.

Krishna Vaishno Bhojnalaya - We had breakfast here.
Aloo Paratha - Rs 45

In between we faced heavy rainfall, on way to Doodhpathri we took jackets and Gum shoes on hire that could save us from rains.

Coats Price including shoes - Rs 400 per person.

We also had lunch in between before reaching Doodhpathri.
Makki Ki Roti & Haak Saag (Collard Greens) - Rs 70, This is a popular street food on way to Doodhpathri.

Doodhpathri - It is one of the famous tourist destinations and a hill station in Kashmir. It is also said to be the Valley of Milk. Tourists can use a pony or ATV (Motor Vehicles) to reach Shaliganga river point.
Pony Charges - Rs 500 per hour
ATV Charges - Rs 2500, no fixed rate card, bargaining helps
One of the major attractions is the meadows of Doodhpathri which makes this place so beautiful.

Shaliganga River Point - Shaliganga flows in Doodhpathri and most treks here follow the course of this river. The view of the river is amazing. Water is flowing in between huge rocks and the water flow is quite high.

Guide at Doodhpathri - if you are looking at someone to help you with local sightseeing at Doodhpathri then you can contact - Sheikh Yaqoob - 9906425245. I have not met him in person but i received email from him saying that he works as a guide and it will be great if i can mention his name and number in description section.

On the return journey from Doodhpathri to Srinagar in between we again had Makki Ki Roti & Haak Saag (Collard Greens) - Rs 60

In the evening we reached Srinagar. Here we had dinner at Adhoo’s Hotel & Restaurant.
Nadru Yakhni - Rs 220
Dum Aloo - Rs 180

We also planned to do a board ride at Dal Lake but it was too late and it was night time. So we ended our episode here.
