This is a stunning large French antique flame mahogany and inlaid partners pedestal desk, circa 1880 in date.

The beautiful hand dyed hide triple leather writing surface is faded green with gold tooled decoration.

The brass handles are original, as are the locks which work off a central locking system. When you close the central drawer it automatically locks all the other drawers.

The desk is decorated with beautiful crossbanded decoration of satinwood with ebony and boxwood line inlay, which makes this desk absolutely stunning.

The desk has nine drawers and it is finished all round so it is freestanding, the back has nine dummy drawers. The drawer linings are of solid oak and the desk has a large slide on either side and they can be pulled out when more desk space is required.
