In my previous video, I mentioned that I am writing a book Retire on your terms. That will guide you on achieving financial independence, and also lead a meaningful retirement life. This is so exciting. A lot of hard work has gone into writing this book, and I am confident that you will enjoy reading it. I had been wanting to write this book for many years and I am happy to inform you that it will be released next month.

Do you have a secret desire to break free from routine jobs and follow a passion which has taken a back seat? I interact with a lot of people. One thing common in at least 90% of my interactions is that people want to retire early. Wanting to work till the stipulated 60 years of age is very rare in the aspirations. Do you want to do what you love to do, but cannot? Do you feel a lack of purpose in your life? You might be worried that if you leave your job and follow your passion, your EMIs and your lifestyle might get negatively impacted. You may also be worried about funding your children’s higher education and therefore think that there is no choice but to continue doing what you are doing, whether you like it or not.

My book, Retire on your terms, begins with my story, of how I achieved financial freedom at the age of 45 years after working in the corporate sector for more than 21 years. I now do what I enjoy doing and that is what is the main theme of this book. It is not just about making enough money and retiring. While, no doubt money is important, we all need a bigger purpose in life that helps us lead a fulfilling retired life. A life that takes care of oneself, including beliefs, values, interests, and family, while maintaining good physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health.
