Our First Friday speaker for June was Mike Kelleher, the Executive Director of the Australian International Screen Forum. His topic — “Digital Product Thinking,” — covers how digital products are conceived and developed, the role of the digital product manager and the methodologies they employ.
Mike’s presentation focused on his extensive experience in digital product management for companies like NBC and CNN. He talked about the differences between PRODUCT management and PROJECT management, and using a case study on an app called CNN Moneystream.
Mike is a business partner and product manager for PopDesk, the app for booking coworking spaces, which just launched this year.
In addition to his Executive Director role, Mike is also a senior digital executive, experienced in delivering web and native mobile products for media and entertainment brands such as NBC Universal, Time Warner, American Express Publishing and Thomson Reuters. He’s managed small-to-large businesses in an entrepreneurial environment, including overseeing the P/L, business development, marketing and product roadmaps.
