Over the weekend of 3rd and 4th March 2012, the Friends of the 502 Group moved their unique 2-car Class 502 electric multiple unit from Tebay, Cumbria to Burscough, Lancashire. This video shows the process of loading the first vehicle (motor coach 28361), transporting it to Burscough and unloading it inside its new home, the Merseyside Transport Trust building.
These trains were used on what is now the Northern Line of Merseyrail from 1940 until 1980.
