Описание: Woolim Lee (Korea, b.1972), a mid-career artist from South Korea, has explored ambiguous boundaries between reality and sur-reality.

He uses his iconic figures and objects in his works like a woman wearing a flower patterned one piece, a man looking outside of canvas with no facial expression, and animals eyeing toward another direction.

Each object, however, is not categorized in a coherent context but linked to each other fictitiously.

This unique setting becomes a boundary that distinguishes reality from unreality in the work, and increase their own imagination and interpretation.

In addition, he is making a new attempt to deploy patterns of Seika white porcelain (3 dimensions, ceramics that became mainstream in the late Lee Dynasty) with resin into two-dimensional paintings.

And we can also see three - dimensional relief sculptures with resin on his two-dimensional works.

He is constantly trying new attempts.

現実と超現実の曖昧な境目を20年間研究し続けて来た韓国出身の中堅アーティストイ・ウリム（韓国、b.1972) の作品です。

野原のような、砂漠のような空間に、鶏とインコがいます。その鶏とインコは、それぞれ違うところを眺めています。

画面の中で一緒に置かれている人物と動物、物などのお互いに関連性のないように見える構図は、鑑賞者に本人だけの想像力と解釈を作り出します。

また、青華白磁（李王朝後期に主流を成した陶磁器）の模様を2次元の絵画の中に取り入れる新しい試みを繰り広げています。

この青華白磁は、本来のマティエルをより引き立たせるために、レジンにて展開しております。

3次元を2次元の絵画に取り入れ、さらに平面にレジンによる浮彫を取り入れ、2次元から3次元で展開しているところからも、常に新しい試みを行い続けているイ・ウリムの姿勢が伺えます。
