How do I deal with the "Anti-PK" features or other human PKers who show up?

Bot Overhead Prayer Switching: Advanced bot scripts can detect your attack style (Magic, Melee, or Ranged) and instantly switch their overhead Protect from X prayer to block most of your damage.
The Counter: You must "trick" the bot. This is usually done with a quick 3-way switch (e.g., start with a Melee weapon to bait them into praying Protect from Melee, then quickly switch to a Magic weapon like an Ancient Staff and fire your freeze/TB before their script can react). This is called a Prayer Switch Trick and requires fast switching, a core PK skill.
Clan/Team Protection: The most profitable bot farms are often protected by a human "Bot Master" or a dedicated Clan (a group of human PKers). If you are visible on a popular world, a scout may call your location, and a team will come to kill you.
The Counter: World hop frequently and stay unskulled initially (risk less). The best defense is to target single-combat zones and be ready to escape immediately. If you see multiple players with matching gear or names, assume they are a team and teleport out.
The Instalog: Bots can instantly log out if their script detects an immediate threat, especially if you are skulled.
The Counter: You must land a hit before they can log out. This requires speed (as mentioned in Q2) and choosing a good attack angle. If a bot is already engaged in combat with an NPC, you will have a small window to attack them because they can't log out while in combat.
5. Is bot killing actually profitable, or is it just for practice?
A new player wants to know if the risk and effort is worth the potential gold per hour (GP/hr).
Long Explanation
Bot killing is absolutely a highly profitable activity, but the profit is inconsistent and relies heavily on one key factor: finding the high-value bots.
High-Value Targets:
Revenant Bots: These are the gold mine. They often carry expensive loot like the Viggora's Chainmace or Craw's Bow, which are not protected items (meaning you get them on a successful kill). Their scripts usually involve an initial risk of 500k-1M GP in supplies, making nearly every kill a decent payout.
Wilderness Boss Bots (e.g., Artio/Cal'varion): These bots risk the Ring of the Gods or other valuable loot, and they often carry a full inventory of supplies, making their death highly lucrative.
Low-Value Targets (for practice):
Green Dragon/Lava Dragon Bots: These are more for a consistent, low-to-mid-level GP stream and excellent PK practice. Each kill might be 100k-300k, which is still good money for a beginner, but the value comes more from the sheer quantity you can kill per hour.
The Bottom Line: While the average kill on a low-level bot might not be huge, the real money is in the "drops"—the occasional kill on a high-value bot (like a Revenant bot) that risks a multi-million-GP unique weapon. The activity is unique because it combines low entry cost practice (on small bots) with the potential for massive, game-changing loot (on large bots), making it very appealing to both beginners and advanced PKers alike.
