Useable parts of Woodburne October 7, 2025

Описание: Jan and I have been involved with Woodburne overlooking Darby Creek since Jan and I did a musical program for the Nuns and residents in the 90s and would attend meetings of the Darby Creek Valley Association in a building (now gone) on the property. We were able to tour and take pictures in 2009 and 2011,

The Woodburne Plateau represents some 400 years of history of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and America. The demolition of the mansion would be significant historical, cultural, and environmental loss. https://www.darbyhistory.com/Woodburn...

The damage is heart-rending, but Trumbauer built not only to impress, but also to endure and the mansion and the other buildings on the plateau could have a new life of service. The building has usable parts and we are working toward adaptive reuse and could use your help
