Tess and Dan are puzzled by the apparent prosperity of a formerly abandoned gold mining town and by the hostile reception they receive from the local Sheriff. It turns out the Sheriff and Mayor discovered stoles gold and had been using it to keep them from going under. They blow up the old mine where they have the gold stashed, not knowing that Tess, Daisy, the mayor's daughter and Kumas are there. Roadie and Dan save them in the nick of time.
