Hardrada's forces have landed at Fulford, England, along with Tostig Godwinson, the traitorous brother of England's King, Harold. Together, they will ravage the North and Vikings will once more rule in York.
SONGS OF THE VANGUARD tells the tale of the frantic defence of the North. The hopelessly overwhelmed Saxons who stood their ground against the old enemy and met their end with bloodied swords. Meanwhile, the choosers of the slain, the mighty Valkyrie, turn their gaze once more upon England's fields, to witness.
