The PR application process for Convention Refugees and persons in need of protection

Описание: If you were found to be a convention refugee or a protected person by the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) you would be able to send the “protected persons and convention refugees” permanent residence application to IRCC along with your IRB notice of the decision and they will grant you permanent residence.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Current residence

Outside of your country of origin/home country. If you are inside Canada, you must not be subject to a removal order. It is advisable to send this application while in Canada.

Factors

You cannot return to your country due to well-founded fear of persecution based on 1) race, 2) religion, 3) political opinion, 4) nationality, or 5) membership in a particular social group such as gender, LGBTQI, etc.

Decision Makers

IRB is responsible for granting you refugee status, and IRCC for your permanent residence application.
