Colchester Fire & EMS proudly serves the Colchester community and surrounding areas. In 2025, our department responded to 2,489 calls across approximately 49 square miles, supporting a population of nearly 15,000 residents.
Our district includes a mix of suburban and rural areas, as well as multiple major highways. We provide a full range of emergency services, including fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, hazardous materials mitigation, Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) response, regional confined space operations, technical rescue, and more.
