Unreal is a first-person shooter video game developed by Epic MegaGames and Digital Extremes and published by GT Interactive for Microsoft Windows in May 1998. It was powered by Unreal Engine, an original game engine. The game reached sales of 1.5 million units by 2002.
Since the release of Unreal, the franchise has had one sequel and two different series based on the Unreal universe. One official bonus pack, the Epic-released Fusion Map Pack, can be downloaded free of charge. Unreal Mission Pack: Return to Na Pali, developed by Legend Entertainment, was released in June 1999, and added 17 new missions to the single-player campaign of Unreal. Unreal and Return to Na Pali would later be bundled together as Unreal Gold. Additionally, the games were updated to run on the Unreal Tournament version of the game engine.

The original Unreal holds the distinction of being the first game I have ever played.
Throughout the main game and the Return to Na Pali expansion we will be playing as Gina (whom I personally consider to be the canonical main character), aka prisoner 849, a poor unfortunate soul who committed an unspecified crime, was arrested, on the way to prison crashlanded on Planet Murder (Na Pali to the uninitiated) and is now desperately trying to escape it.
I’m not necessarily a person who plays games for the challenge, that being said this game is sufficiently dear to my heart I want to play it on the hardest mode possible, Godlike. It is therefore inevitable that we will be dying our way to victory, wish our action girl good luck.

I found that there may be some issues with excessive reflectivity on some surfaces, if that’s the case, manually lower the value of SSR in the game advanced options.
