I’ve always struggled with the way I looked. It’s manifested itself in many different ways over the years: going to the gym so much I got sick, running until I would almost pass out, skipping 1, sometimes even 2 meals then binging like crazy when that inevitably failed, doing “facial exercises” for hours in an attempt to get rid of my baby face. I really thought I was less of a man if I didn’t look a certain way. For such a long time I bought into this idea that my appearance would make me happy. Loving your body is a daily process, one I am still in the midst of working on.
