Trane AC Not Turning On | Bad Control Board (WILD Cause)

Описание: I was out at this Trane system the day prior and found the control board had failed, specifically the fan relay, which was preventing the condenser fan motor from turning on. The system was out of warranty, so we went over repair options with the homeowner and planned a return visit.

When I came back to replace the board, I found the actual culprit behind the failure — a frog had gotten behind the control board and shorted it out, completely frying the board.

To be prepared, I brought a spare condenser fan motor in case the motor had also been compromised from the failure. After installing the new control board on site, I also found the contactor had failed, so that was replaced as well.

Once repairs were completed, I jumped out the unit multiple times to verify proper startup and operation. The system started consistently, the condenser fan motor operated normally, and no additional issues were found at this time.
