So, I'm going to show you how to deal with static. Now we experience static in relationship usually to the weather or to our hair type. The reason you would have static is if there is a lack of moisture in the air. So the best way to combat that is to keep your hair as moisturized as you can. And of course, some hair types are more prone to static than others.

Another good thing to do when the weather is so dry is to keep drier sheets in your actual pocket, and just the charge from that should help you with your static.

But another, if you don't have that on hand, moisture is the key. I would definitely start, even if you don't use a live-in conditioner or something like that use it in the winter time when it's really really dry. I'm actually using a nourishing oil right now, and I'm going to rake that down her hair. When you're dealing with static or frizz or anything like that you always want to go in the direction that the hair grows. So if you're trying to smooth the hair you want to go in the direction of the hair as opposed to going in the opposite direction.

So I'm just going to smooth that along. And then I actually like to set it with hair spray. And I just hair spray the top and then I'm going to use the side of the can and smooth it down even further, getting rid of all those little staticy guys. And if you use a light flexible hold hair spray like this then it doesn't look like you've hair sprayed your roots down; it looks very, very natural.

So, as soon as that dries, which it almost is, you can kind of work your way through it and loosen it up a bit so that it looks more natural.

So, that's a really great way to fight static.
