Lichtenberg Wood Burning Power Supply

Uncle Fred recently turned me on to Fractal Lichtenberg Wood Burning techniques, however details on actual power supply construction seemed to be a bit sparse. This video describes methods I used to build a Fractal Lichtenberg Wood Burning Power Supply. The equipment shown in this video is dangerous. Accidental contact with high voltage can cause serious injuries and/or instant death and should only be performed by experienced qualified personnel.
For my project I used a 6000 volt / 25 mA non GFI ignition transformer for the high voltage source. Keep in mind that the ignition transformer is virtually identical to a standard neon sign performance wise. The major difference is that a neon sign xfmr is center tapped, so a 9000 volt neon sign transformer for example actually has 4500 volts to ground from each bushing or 4500-0-4500 volts. You don't need the exact transformer I am using. Any gaseous tube transformer with ratings of 4500 to 12,000 volts at 30 milliamps should work just fine.
It is highly recommended that the equipment and work area be used only on a well insulated table top such as a rubber blanket or Formica. Keep work area clean and free of dirt and carbon (carbon is a bi-product of wood burning and is VERY CONDUCTIVE!) Contamination can cause high voltage creapage and dangerous arc flash-over!
