There is a way to make mod work again and its called DOWNGRADING steam version to 1.27.2.
I have explained how to do so on my patreon page and it just needs a tool called steam depot downloader. The mod works fine on 1.27.2 and i dont even plan to update to the newer game versions until i am sure they cease with updates ONCE AND FOR ALL.
The mod gives you ability to play as npcs/bosses and have fun like never before. I am working on making attacks etc directly usable as shown in video with the combinations of controller keys so you have full control of unit and also ability to unlock /open doors/chests interact directly with a hotkey on the controller.
