Some days with dementia are just hard. 😔 In this video, I take you through one of those challenging days with my Mama. She was stubborn, refused her medications, and wouldn't listen to staff — or even me. It took hours of patience, love, and persistence to finally get her to take her meds.

This video is a raw, honest look into the realities of dementia caregiving — the emotional toll, the patience required, and the unconditional love that keeps us going. It is the definition of once and adult, twice a child.

You'll notice that the next day, when I arrived, Mama was knocked out in bed after all the drama from the day before. I had to feed her and, once again, help make sure she took her meds.

I was there for hours and condensed this video into 16 minutes. There were periods of time where there was a physical struggle. I suffer with anxiety and I had to breathe my way through an attack.

Caregiving for a loved one with dementia isn't always smiles and laughter — it's also about resilience, compassion, and showing up even when it's tough. If you're a caregiver, know that you’re not alone. 💖
