Iran encourages diplomatic path for nuclear deal

Описание: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned in an interview with CBS that his country would strike back against US military bases in the region in case of renewed attacks against Tehran.

Araghchi emphasised in his interview that the resolution for Iran’s nuclear program may only be achieved through diplomacy. “I believe that still, there is a good chance to have a diplomatic solution which is based on a win-win game, and a solution is at our reach,” said the foreign minister.

Calling his country’s nuclear program peaceful, he stressed the national importance the programme holds in light of the scientific and technological achievements while under economic pressure due to the decades-long sanctions.

US and Iranian delegations are set to meet in Geneva this Thursday to work on the deal and “a draft of the text”.
