In SAP FICO, A company is an organisational unit. It must be defined with a 4-digit alphanumeric key. These unique numbers are mandatory for creation in a company as a trading partner. It is a required field for the configuration setting now as the main company in SAP FICO.
There are two ways to create a company in SAP.
Go to SAP Manu wise : step by step

IMGPath: Type SPRO › IMG - Enterprises Structure - Definition - Financial Accounting - Define Company - Click on New Entries and type all mandatory fields - Click on SAVE icon - Choose [ F8 ] to create request customisation and type description - click on continue icon [✓] - again click on SAVE icon. Type /n to back on screen.

Note: In one Company is like an umbrella. Many company codes can be assigned to a company, but in one company code can't assign more than one company for organisation settings in the SAP system.
