Deomali, is a mountain peak in the Chandragiri-Pottangi subrange of the Eastern Ghats. It is located near Koraput town in the Koraput district of Odisha, India.
Geography
Deomali is located at 27.15857'N 95.47816'E .\

Deomali Peak, with an elevation of about 1,672 m, is the highest peak in the state of Odisha. It is situated near BARABANDHA village, KOTIA Panchayat division which is about 70 km from Koraput via Semiliguda. It is surrounded by deep green forest, the peak is rich in flora and fauna. This hill range is rich in mineral resources such as bauxite, limestone and gemstones. Deomali is dotted with brooks and deep valleys, and inhabited by tribes such Kandhas, Parajas, Bhumia, Malis and Bhotias. It is not only a marvel for the tourists but also to the adventurous sports lovers for hang gliding, mountaineering and trekking. On this recent days Odisha tourism Department, is taking many development steps to popularize this peak amongst the travellers as a hot tourist spot by connecting the Tar roads, Hill top amenities centre, drinking water points on the hill top, watching towers for perfect view of the arena. Many waterfalls also found while heading for the top of hill

Chalo Loku :
Chalo Loku is a festival celebrated by the Nocte people. It takes place annually on November 25 at the General Ground in Deomali. Dance, music, fashion shows are held. It starts from 22 November.

St. George Catholic Church :
St. George Catholic Church, Deomali is a church in the town. The church serves as the parish church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Miao.

Narottam Nagar :
Narottam Nagar is nearly 7 km away from the town, it houses the renowned Ramakrishna Mission School.

Buddha Statue
A 12 feet statue of Buddha seated on a 12 feet pedestal in Narottam Nagar.

Shiva Statue
18 feet Shiva Statue at the southern side of Buri Dihing river inside a tea garden in Narottam Nagar.

Swamiji Statue
18 feet high statue of Swami Vivekananda (30 feet from road level including pedestal) by the side of a new 2.6 km diversion road (Vivekananda Marg) in Narottam Nagar.

Festivals like Christmas, Durga Puja, Diwali, Magh Bihu, Shivratri and Holi are celebrated in Deomali but the main festival is Chalo Loku, the festival of Nocte tribe and it is celebrated on 25 November every year.
