After paying ₹42 lakh to an agent for what he was promised would be a legal entry into the US, Harwinder instead spent eight months being shuffled across countries before being detained and sent back. He, along with 103 other deportees, was transported on a US military C-17 aircraft, where he says he was handcuffed, chained, and denied basic needs for 40 hours.
