PM Modi addressed a massive public rally in Guwahati, Assam and highlighted the Union Budget’s strong focus on North East development. He noted that Assam will receive nearly ₹50,000 crore as tax devolution this year, five times more than during the Congress era. He emphasised major investments in connectivity, highways and tourism, including river tourism on the Brahmaputra, to accelerate growth and self-reliance in the region.
