Dagbani is fading quietly, not because children reject it, but because many parents now speak only English at home.
I left Dagbon at a very young age and grew up outside the North. Over time, I lost the language. Even today, I am still learning and cannot speak Dagbani fluently without mixing English.
That personal experience is why this work matters to me.
We created this movement so that people like me, parents, children, and diaspora families can have a platform to learn Dagbani properly and reconnect with their identity.
Language is culture.
If we don’t pass it on, it ends with us.
