The final minute barrier has been broken! (for espxe 2.0.5 at least). In late 2023, faster movements were found by optimizing each Time Trials, and a new clip in W3L3 can save 5s twice in this category.
So, is sub 1:30 actually doable??
I've done it, the first sub 1:31 run for 112%! I finally reached my ultimate goal for both PS1 categories of this game! I can take a break in peace until someone eventually beats one of my WRs. That someone could be me in the future if the rules about emulators will be well established.
About this 112% run:
I erased my choke in W4L3 and completed the run without a single death again. There are still some time losses but they are small.
Biggest time losses:
3 seconds lost in W1L4 because of bad movements.
6 seconds lost from bad RNG: 3s against Bernadette and 3s from a bad cycle in W3L3.
3 seconds lost in W4L2 because of my nerves, I got hit by mistake in both splits.
I'm done with this game for now. I know that I can cut 5 to 10 seconds for Any% and 10 to 15 seconds for 112% but I'm exhausted tryharding both categories. So I take a good break from it.
