Crazy Crash In 1000 Meter Ladies Inline Speed Skating Race At 2014 US Indoor National Championships

Описание: You could not ask for a more exciting race than what we saw from the Senior Ladies at the 2014 US Indoor National Championships. The race was stacked, and these female inline speed skating athletes were all business out on the hard wood race track.

How the race went down:

They started off with a bang, going 4 wide into the first pylon. Emily Reid skating out of Piedmont Speed would earn the first spot going into the first pylon. With 5 laps to go Megan Gillis moved into first, and Reid would quickly fall all the way to the back of the skating pack. With 2 laps to go, the top 3 skaters would go down due to an errant late pass and ride out of Gillis in between pylon 1 and 2. This resulted in Emily Reid avoiding all the danger danger in the back and taking home the Gold. What a crazy race.
