このS2000に搭載されているエンジンは、かつてレース用エンジンを手がけていた日本のエンジンビルダーが、人生をかけて仕上げた特別な一基であることを、後になって知りました。

そのビルダーはすでに逝去されており、このエンジンは 二度と再現できない「遺作エンジン」 ということになります。

ただ速さを求めたものではなく、機械としての完成度、回転の質、音の佇まいまでを突き詰めたエンジン。そこには、日本のものづくりの静かな執念が宿っています。

この音を、記録として遺したい。そして、少しでも多くの方に「エンジンの息づかい」を感じていただきたい。そう思い、動画を残していくことにしました。

本動画では、
エンジンルームとリアマフラーの2か所にマイクを設置し、会話・音楽なし、エンジン音のみを収録しています。

今回は、平日朝の東京ディズニーワールド/浦安周辺を走る30分程度のASMR映像です。作業用、リラックス、就寝前、集中したい時間のお供にご利用ください。

built by a Japanese engine builder who dedicated his life to racing engines.

I later learned that this engine was his final work.
Since he has already passed away, this exact engine can never be recreated.

It is not about raw speed.
It is about balance, precision, and the character of sound as the engine breathes.
This engine carries the quiet craftsmanship and philosophy of Japanese engineering.

I wanted to preserve this sound as a record.
Not just as a car video, but as a mechanical legacy.

In this video, microphones are placed in two positions
(engine bay and rear exhaust) to capture the engine’s natural sound.
No talking. No music. Only real engine sound.
