On Tuesday 11th November at 11am, St. Aidan’s Church of England High School paused in remembrance of all those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.
Student trumpeters marked the occasion by playing The Last Post at various points around the school, ensuring that the sound of remembrance reached every corner of our community.
Assemblies were also held and our Year 7 students did a fantastic job as poppy sellers.
As we reflected together, we remembered the courage, service, and sacrifice of so many — and reaffirmed our commitment to peace.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
