NYU Trailblazers are TED Talk-style mini lectures from NYU's illustrious faculty. Don't miss this lecture from Sean Eve, “Building Community Locally and Globally Through Movie Making.”
This talk will discuss how assignments that involve multimedia exploration and, in particular documentary video development and production, help to connect students to communities of interest in New York and internationally. These projects offer unique opportunities for creative engagement while linking individuals and organizations around discrete projects that in many cases help distribute resources to communities in the US and elsewhere that badly need access to equipment and technical expertise which would otherwise be unavailable to them. These projects also give students outside of pre-professional, technical and creative training programs at NYU opportunities to investigate their expressive horizons.

A Clinical Associate Professor at Liberal Studies at NYU, he is Creative Director of Global Media Lab, and co-founder of the Citizen Journalism Project being undertaken by NYU in partnership with Animated Ecologies, the sustainable media non-profit for which he is the Director.
