These days, it's hard to say what to expect from Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior. With her ever-changing approach and fresh take on each collection, some might think she's losing her grip on continuity. But is continuity in fashion really what we need? At the Dior Fall 2022 show, Chiuri asks that question.

The collection, aptly named "The Next Era," gives way to experimentation.
Experiments that are not used by many luxury houses because of the strength and steadfastness of the codes set in the DNA of the brand.
But Dior, it seems, is beginning to move away a little from the continuity...
After a six-year stint at Dior, Chiuri has thoroughly redefined what it means to be a Dior woman. And while her Fall Winter 2022 collection features many new elements, the core is still there. Namely the "sacred cow of the House" - The Bar jacket, which in the Fall 22 collection is made in different textures and shades.

According to the show, Ms. Currie has transformed a classic Dior jacket The Bar into a high-tech warm clothing with the help of complicated construction methods, developed in partnership with D-Air laboratories.

Another memorable element was the shoulder pads reminiscent of soccer or hockey gear that were placed on the delicate lace turtleneck, while soft corsets were offered as a sporty addition to the feminine silhouette.
Similarly, neon green and orange elbow-high hockey gloves adorned simple black dresses and coats, and cobalt tights peeked out from under the hem.

If we talk about the atmosphere of the show-it was created by Italian feminist artist Mariella Bettineschi, who reinterpreted the objectified female subjects of the Old Masters as women and girls with their own power and ability to perceive things outside of patriarchy and colonialism. Curie carried the title of the artist's work, "The Next Age," into her own collection with the artist's permission.

The artistic concept symbolically anticipates a time when women will take charge of the world and do so in the best way possible.
