Описание: This year, NCD Alliance is proudly celebrating its 10th anniversary. NCDA was borne in 2009 out of one alarming truth; we were witnessing a global systemic political failure to wake up to the health tsunami of the 21st century.

It was convened with an understanding of one shared agenda; the common determinants and risk factors, and the common solutions for NCD prevention and control. It was built with one inspiring goal in mind; to save lives and protect populations by getting NCDs onto the global health and development agenda, fast. And it evolved with one enduring philosophy; “together we are stronger”.

A decade on, we are lifted by our achievements and impact. We have come a long way in a short time. We have unequivocally demonstrated the value of working across diseases and risk factors for a common cause.

We have inspired the blossoming of country and regional alliances who are fighting to protect the rights of people at risk and living with NCDs. And we can proudly say we have contributed to the unstoppable political momentum behind this important health issue.

On our 10th anniversary, we would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to these successes and the evolution of the NCD Alliance. We would not be where we are today without our founding federations, our thriving global network of members and alliances, our committed and generous supporters, and the countless experts and volunteers.

As long as NCDs continue to present challenges, we will continue to work together with determination, resourcefulness and in tireless pursuit of our common vision: A world where everyone has the opportunity for a healthy life, free from preventable suffering, stigma, disability and death caused by NCDs.
