Описание: In 1653, Philippe Mius-d’Entremont established the first barony in Acadie at Pubnico, laying the roots for generations of Acadians who still live here today. The Musée des Acadiens des Pubnicos now preserves this legacy, showcasing artifacts, genealogy, and traditions that celebrate Acadian culture and history.

The Acadian Shores Interpretive Tour is a self-guided itinerary of 38 Acadian heritage sites that promotes the rich Acadian history and culture of Southwest Nova Scotia. There are 17 destinations in Clare, 18 in Argyle, and 3 in Yarmouth Town & Municipality.

The Acadian Shores Interpretive Tour is a wonderful way to encourage visitors and residents to discover the natural beauty and rich heritage of this region. The tour has been modernized in 2024 by updating interpretive panels at existing sites and adding new panels at 9 other locations. Pick up a new map-brochure and explore iconic historic sites, museums, churches, lighthouses, and wharves at your own pace, many of which are hidden gems located off the beaten path.
