Welcome back to our 5-part weekly series on things you can do to prepare your home for the fall and winter months, making it more comfortable and saving you money! Here is our last tip, Tip#5: Prevent Frozen Discharge Lines.
The discharge line is the pipe that comes from the sump pump and channels the water away from the home. If this line freezes, it prevents water from being discharged from the sump pump. The solution to this is our IceGuard system, by allowing water to exit the discharge line even if it freezes or clogs.
