🎧 Closed-loop Neurofeedback BCI | EEG x VR for Anxiety Regulation 🌊

Описание: In this video, we showcase our proof of concept system that combines real-time EEG brainwave monitoring with immersive Virtual Reality (VR) to create a closed-loop neurofeedback experience aimed at supporting mental health and anxiety regulation.

Using EEG data from the F3–F4 frontal cortex electrodes, the system calculates upper-alpha asymmetry, a neural marker often associated with mood and emotional balance. This score is continuously analysed and used to dynamically adjust a VR beach environment—including lighting, ambiance, and weather—based on the user’s mental state.

This project was developed as part of my capstone thesis and demonstrates the potential of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) for emotional wellness, combining neuroscience, signal processing, and interactive media.
