On Friday, several women students of Aligarh Muslim University held a protest against the ban on hijab in some educational institutions in Karnataka. The women students, most of whom were wearing hijabs, chanted slogans and demanded the right to wear what they want.
Karnataka Hijab Showdown has intensified with pro and anti-hijab protests in different parts of the country. A political war has also escalated with the opposition trying to corner the BJP government.
