Donning empire waist gowns, bonnets, and tailcoats, participants of all ages and from various parts of the world gathered in the picturesque streets of Bath, transforming the modern-day cityscape into a scene straight out of Austen's novels. The promenade started at the iconic Royal Crescent, proceeded through the historic streets, and culminated in the lush Parade Gardens.

The festival is not only a significant cultural event but also a boost for local tourism, drawing nearly 3,500 attendees last year.

One of the highlights this year is the talk by Dr. Lucy Worsley, a renowned historian, who will explore the influence of Austen’s work on contemporary literature and culture. Other activities include a Regency ball, where participants will get the chance to dance in true Austen style, and a series of walking tours that highlight places frequented by Austen during her time in Bath.
