Chakraghatti is a village located in the Eastern Region of Nepal, approximately 209 km from the capital Kathmandu and Bharoul is the next village. This place is inhabited mainly by Nepalese of different groups. Many of them are deplorably poor. They are daily wagers or farmers who farm their land for sustenance and have limited access to markets and services. Besides farming, they have multiple economic activities, often in the informal economy, to contribute to their small incomes.
The Salesians of Don Bosco came to Chakragatti and Bharoul in 2013.
