Cross Country Road Trip Day 9, Indian Scout Motorcycle, New Albin, IA to South Bend, IN

Описание: On day 9 I headed south along the west side of the Mississippi River to Marquette IA. I crossed the Mississippi into Wisconsin on the Marquette-Joliet Bridge; from there I headed east on Highway 18 towards Mount Horeb. I took a short detour along Highway 92 towards Mt Vernon, then I headed back to the highway via Route G. I rejoined Highway 18 to Madison, and I road Interstate 90 the rest of the way to Chicago and on to South Bend.

I didn't record Chicago to South Bend. My helmet was still bothering me at highway speeds, and by that point in the day I just wanted to get there. Since the rest of my trip would be on the highway, I really needed a better setup. I bought a new helmet and switched to a chest strap for the GoPro on the following day.

Finishing Day 9 in South Bend was bittersweet. On one hand I was tired and looking forward to completing my journey in New York, but I had enjoyed the trip even more than expected and the finish line was rapidly approaching.
