THE GREEN FIELDS OF FAIRFIELD, BUXTON...SOON TO VANISH FOREVER...Fond Memories.

Описание: For as long as I can remember the beautiful green fields that run from our estate in Fairfield, Buxton are soon to disappear...We were asked a couple of years ago to explain why we object to the fields being built on or quarried away by the local MP, but even as we were objecting contractors were there measuring up and surveying the fields...It looks like the proposal to build new houses on these fields is going ahead and to be quarried away without even considering our objections...Over the years my family have played and explored on these fields with lots of happy great times in all seasons...Not only that the loss Nature and Wildlife can never be replaced...They are feeding grounds to Kestrel, Fox and Badger and not long ago Roe deer were spotted by myself and others plus the loss of thousands of wild flowers...Sadly nothing stands in the way of progress and although Buxton is in the Peak District it is not under the reins of the Peak National Park who I am sure would not let this destruction go ahead so the decisions all boil down to High Peak Council who by the way are planning to destroy more natural greenery not to far away at Hogshaw by building even more houses...There just is not the capacity of Doctors, schools, dentists and amenities to cope with all these houses being built...And just who are the houses being built for ?...I am afraid I lost trust in High Peak council when they sold the bottling rights to Nestle who just seem to be pumping Buxton Water up from everywhere in and around our town and what exactly are Nestle returning to Buxton ?...One thing is certain, there is no transparency to local folk from local government, but then again there does not seem to be any transparency from Government full stop...Oh Well, rant over and it is all to no avail so will shut up...I do hope you enjoy my Music called Economic Movement...Thanks for Watching and Listening...Les.
