This surgery information video is all about PIPs and how to tell if your implants are ruptured. Pain, inflammation and rashes can be a sign that your PIP implants are ruptured, but the only real way to tell is with a scan. Mr Richards discusses the scans available to patients, and how successful they are. Despite a scan being able to tell the majority of the time, sometimes the certainty of a rupture, or a non rupture is difficult to distinguish, especially if the rupture is new, and the implant still has a good shape.

Many women still have PIP implants, some who aren't even aware they have them, or are aware of the horrors that they can bring.
